Roberta Booth Family Reunion

Grave Site - Evergreen Cemetery

Friday, July 24, 2015
I'm sitting in front of my moms grave. It's been over 30 yrs since she has past. Remarkable!!

I only knew her 13 yrs of my life. Even then I was a young girl. How much did I really know her?  Also a good 5 yrs of that she was ill. How well did I know her?  Not really?

However, she was a phenomeul writer!  She kept journals and copies of weekly letters. She articulated words well. She shared real events- humorus, inspiring, painful, challenging, desperation, strength, love, and most of all lived through each event her testimony.

How well do I know her now? I can say pretty well. I'm grateful, ever so grateful for her journal writing. I've been able to learn and grow from her beyond the grave. As a mother and wife myself, I can understand her more as a friend. Take in her learning, her testimony. Use examples to understand her, my siblings, my ancestors.

Thank you Roberta Booth for always telling the truth!  Sharing real stuff, I've needed it!  Love you mom!

Ps. I hope to some day get a QR code on her tombstone. So it can link back to this site. Get these images uploaded to family history sites. Some day😫

Who Am I - 03

Sunday, July 5, 2015
I was born in Spanish Fork.  I worked at the hardware store.  I ate rhubarb on everything, even my cereal.  I valued hard work.

Name Game - Who Am I? 002

I was the first caption of the Spanish Fork Fire Department.  The Spanish Fork volunteer Fire Department was organized May 15th, 1908 with a company of twenty men, four from each ward and four at large. The following officers were elected: Charles W. Booth, Chief, Clayton Beck, First Assistant Chief, George Ludlow, Second Assistant Chief, David R. Boyack, Secretary-Treasure.
The department began at once training on their work and were soon equipped with a hose cart and several hundred feet of hose, which they soon learned to manipulate so well that their influence was felt for good in the reduction of fire losses.  I moved out from

I served an LDS Mission to  mission to England on 15 October 1889. I received my patriarchal blessing from A Patriarchal blessing given by C. W. Hyde,
My family owned a shoe shop.  Who Am I?

Who Am I?

I buried bread dough in the ground to hide it, but the dough kept rising through the dirt.  I lived in my grandparents home on the corner of 400 south.
